IT'S SNOWING!

In the past few days (by that I mean the past like five) I have become a caterpillar, become re-obsessed with the Princess Bride after watching the movie again, quoted the aforementioned movie so many times my dad almost gagged me, made samosas, and finally learnt to play Bukhar which is a ridiculously addictive card game played at all the family gatherings. It tends to drag on for quite a long time e.g. one time, they were playing from eight to midnight. This was one game. It's very fun, as the game leads to all sorts of arguments. XD

In conclusion, the title of this post makes me happy. Also, I am now giving all my friends potatoes for Christmas. =D
Happy holidays, m'dears! Love you lots like Jelly Tots and in case anyone was wondering, I can say that as Jelly Tots don't contain gelatine. YAY!

Yes, that is my garden. Yes, it is a crappy shot because it is dark and I was using the camera on my phone. Yes, my hand is now very cold because I stuck it out of the window to take the picture. Yes, all that snow has fallen in the past two hours or so. And finally, no, you may not stalk me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ADI!

Is there any way to turn back time and write this post yesterday? 'Cause this would've been so much more appropriate yesterday...

Well, in any case, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ADI! I don't suppose you want the harem resurrected, do you? Anyhoo, hope you had a kickass day and you don't get any wrinkles from being so old!

Love you lots like jelly tots! (and we've been through this issue before so I refer you to the last blog post to see my musings on jelly tots and the debatable issue of whether they contain gelatine.)

The cake isn't a lie but it kinda is...

BYE!

Holy crap...

...my last post was on the 28th September?! Oh dear...
Well, allow me to set that right and er, blog. Why is it that when I want to write something, there is nothing to write about? The only thing that's somewhat worth mentioning is the fact that I've got two weeks of mock GCSEs starting this coming Monday. :'( WHYYYYYYY, CRUEL WORLD!? WHYYYYYY?

Oddly enough though, despite my moaning and complaining, I'm not all that worried. Probably because it hasn't actually hit me that these exams are pretty important...
That being said, I have actually been revising. Not as much as some people, but I try not to talk about revision with those people because it scares me how much studying they've done compared to me. It's sorta like building a papier-mâché volcano, then bringing it to school and finding out that someone's managed to bring in a even better one, complete with sparklers (Hee hee) and tiny models of screaming people and mini fireworks and MOLTEN LAVA.
Of course, that example isn't meant to be that serious; I mean, where on earth would you get the tiny models?! By the way, I was looking up "papier-mâché" to get the accents and whatnot 'cause I'm too lazy to do it on Word, and I found out that papier-mâché's French for "chewed paper"! :D I love languages.

(On a side note that is completely unrelated to the rest of this post, is it possible to change the font colour of posts? Well, actually of separate words in posts.)

That's it, I think, for now. Wish me luck in revising and actually staying on track! Oh, and a bit of luck for the exams wouldn't go amiss either. Have a nice day! Love you lots and lots like Jelly Tots, except I'm not sure if Jelly Tots contain gelatine but if they do, I most likely don't love you lots like Jelly Tots, I probably love you lots like chocolate or something that contains a lot of additives and sugar... In any case, ta ta!

As standard, here's something for you to laugh at:

I'm so proud to be a Harry Potter nerd. :D BLOODY HELL! THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PREMIERE IN LONDON IS TOMORROW AND I DIDN'T MENTION IT ONCE! *facepalm* I feel like a failure now...
So, I'm going to see it on the 20th; the day after the movie's released worldwide. Unfortunately, the date is slap bang in the middle of my exams. It's highly likely that I'll watch the movie, get incredibly hyper, then come home to revise and then be depressed. Oh well; once exams are over, I'll go see it again. :D

P.S. There should be a countdown clock on the right hand side of the screen now.

Blog URL

I have now changed the URL of my blog to something quite a bit shorter and hopefully easier to remember. The URL is now utterlydeceptivetwaddlespeak. Should I change myblog name as well? Now, I have Physics homework to complete so bye bye!

P.S. I found an epical site!

Niamhykins

Hi Niamh! You wanted a post about you so here.

Soooo, I know a girl called Niamh and she goes to my school. Of course, she *is* mental and today decided to eat 8 ice creams (along with Gemma but you'll hear more about that incident in a bit). I found out today that she has a blog so I'm now stalking her (that's totally not creepy sounding...)

Now, that ice cream story. At lunch today, there were ice cream scoopy things with banana. Gemma and Niamh both love ice cream, but Gem hates banana. Oddly enough, she still ate 8 of the ice creams... then again, she *was* throwing the banana at Niamh whenever she got them...
When I got upstairs to our form room, those two were already there and Niamh seemed to have developed a slight obsession with the word 'consequently'. Weird; yes. Completely hilarious; HELL YES!

Hope you enjoyed reading about a couple of friends who managed to get high on ice cream. :D That is all for now. Pip pip!

Several things

So... I can't actually remember what's happened since I last blogged. Um, wait right there, I shall be back in two seconds...

Ah, so there wasn't really anything of import in the last blog. Okay. Good to know. :) Well, as some of you may know, this weekend will be International Talk Like A Pirate WEEKEND! That's right, people; not Talk Like A Pirate Day, but WEEKEND! That's one more day of pure awesome pirate talk, savvy?
Yeeeah... I'm excited about that. :D

Well, today I went to CCF (Combined Cadet Force) for the first time in forever and it wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be. Odd, that. We just spent our time doing NSPs (Normal Safety Procedures) with the rifles and stripping them. i.e. taking them apart to check everything works and then reassembling them. (I'm in the RAF, by the way)

That's all for now and to finish, I shall introduce you to yet another webcomic that I have just rediscovered. Introducing.... Head Trip! That should link you to the first comic in the series, beeteedubz.

And just to stress that I am now hooked back on Les Mis:

♫Look down and see the beggars at your feet
Look down and show some mercy if you can
Look down and see the sweepings of the street
Look down, look down upon your fellow man♪

And and and because I don't feel right without posting a pikachure at the end of my posts here:

P.S. Ick... I just realised that this is my first post of September.

I give up

Yeah, the blogging Indian wedding thing is dead. Oh well. The notebook is still around so the story's there if I ever get bored.

School's starting soon (next Thursday - dumb day to start, I know), and it's GCSE year for me. -.- Speaking of GCSEs, I got my 4 results back yesterday! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! And I'm gonna get the Harry Potter Lego game!

(Please excuse the lack of any coherent structure here. I haven't written anything in a very long time and there never really is a structure so I don't know why this is being written)

In other news, this summer (and a good friend) have caused me to become extremely addicted to a webcomic that is completely and utterly AWESOME! Those of you who I talk to on Gmail will, most likely, know what that link is without clicking on it.

In yet more news, I am happy to find out that Requiem Mask is now somewhat back on track. I am devastated to report, however, that Houdini has passed away. :(

And I do believe that's everything that I can squeeze out of my sadly dead brain for now, so until next time, my friends!

10th July 2010 - In which nothing much happens so I'll write two entries this time but put the second one in a different post coz it's long

Today's been a very 'do nothing' day. Unfortunately it hasn't been the 'best do nothing day ever' (Phineas and Ferb, anyone?). But it's been all right, I suppose
To sum up, we got a load of painful beautifying crap done in the morning, then went to get sandals for my grandma and ended up leaving with three tops. Now, the rest of my cousins have arrived and we're all about to leave for dinner at my uncle's (TOWDIGM)

More tomorrow. For now, bye!

9th July 2010 - In which I get a bit soppy

Finally! We are finally here after a bloody 7 hours and 50 minutes. I'm writing this at my grandparent's flat and trying to remember anything of import that's happened since I last wrote... nope, nada. Well, this is a bit of a bittersweet time as it's probably the last time I'll be in Nairobi in this flat. See, my grandparent's have slowly been moving into their youngest son's house here in England. So the apartment is pretty bare as pretty much everything, furniture wise, that I know is gone.
This place has so many memories! I remember trying to climb the window bars; they seemed huge at the time. Now I'm about 3/4 their size and trying to stop my cousins from climbing up them.
And, oddly enough, the toilets in the hall. They used to freak me out when I was younger. 'Why?' I hear you cry. Coz I had just watched Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and I was terrified that I'd run into a troll...

Now, have any of you had a 'bucket bath'? Water gets EVERYWHERE. Or is that just me? Anyway, it's basically a shower using a bucket. Simple. Only, my sister and I used to be small enough to fit completely in the buckets. Fun times...
Wow, I'm gonna miss this place...

Yay! We're going to the Village Market! I love markets; all the haggling and colours and haggling and people and haggling and just the sheer amount of STUFF. If one stall isn't selling something, you can safely bet that another will be. The same also applies if a stall is selling something. :P

The Village Market is at the shopping centre every Friday, so its a nice thing to look forward to. But there's a Maasai Market near the supermarket which is full of alleyways and is even more amazing, in my opinion. But I digress. We don't tend to buy a lot at the Village Market but as this may be the last time we're here, we did some spending. Just to clue you up, 100 Ksh = £1 roughly. I ended up with this gorgeous dust cover for notebooks. Unfortunately, the one I'm using to write this in is too big to fit. :(

So, now we're waiting to go back to my uncle's (the one who's daughter is getting married or TOWDIGM for short now) apartment roof for dinner. I'm hungry...

10:30pm - I'm on Kenya time now. We just went to visit an aunt to get kitted out for various wedding things. THEN... there was this humongous power cut. For something like two hours or so, there was no power whatsoever. So we used candles for light. :) And ate by candlelight. One of the candles had a paper rim and may have caught fire and was burning merrily away. I think it was tissue paper. You know how tissue paper is mega thin and all? Well, it was burning quite fast and the flame was slightly coloured and it was very prettyful.

We also got a visit from (yet another) of my cousins. She turned 1 two days ago and is absolutely adorable!

Well, it's now 10:35, and I've been awake since 4am UK time and I am absolutely shattered. Gonna go get ready and sorted for bed. Good night! Oh, and yay; my American cousins and the rest of my cousins are coming tomorrow!

8th July 2010 (Part 2) - In which 'halal pork' is mentioned

'Kay, so I'm sitting, waiting in the terminal now. You know when you get through baggage and all that, then there're the shops, right? Well, there were a few Asian dudes working in this duty free store (basically, Heathrow's duty free is usually manned by Asians from South London) and one of them goes to a co-worker (it was a she) 'So, can you get halal pork?' Needless to say, I legged it before collapsing in fits of laughter.
Now I'm just waiting and I think I see a bookshope so I'll write more on the plane...

I'm on the plane now! Wheeeee! Boarded about 15 minutes ago and am doing some good old fashioned people spotting. There're a lot of uni. students here...
Bugger... I just found out that this is around a 7 hour flight -.- Ah, it's worth it. More later; I'm gonna sort out my bag (*ahem* rucksack) out.
Oh, one more thing. Especially for this, I have a shiny new notepad! And it will end up with writing in it. That's rare for me, guys. :P And now I have to tell my sister to bugger off and stop watching me write...

10:45pm - This is still England time, beeteedubz. In Nairobi, it's something like quarter to 1am. So, I just watched Alice in Wonderland. The SFX are completely awesome but the story seemed a bit jerky and off kilter to me. It reminds me of the Looking Glass Wars tirlogy but is (apparently) based on one of Carroll's sequels. But I prefer the LGW books. Now, I'm being told to sleep, so I'm gonna catch some Zs.

G'night!

8th July 2010 (Part 1)

I don't really know if today should count as part of my little blogging thing but whatever. Screw whatever metaphorical rules there are.
So, I was writing this (on paper) in Biology and I was meant to be copying out a graph. Psh, yeah right(!) It's my last academic lesson, for crying out loud! ..... Fine, so I drew the graph....

Ranting aside, today's a slightly bittersweet day. My English teacher's leaving for a school in Bristol and today is his last lesson with my class apart from me. Oh well; I'll probably be kept up to date on whatever weird crap is going on through my friends stalking him on FB. Yes, my English class is odd.

Now, (I'm still in Biology) if only Barnett (Biology teacher) would shut up and stop talking about athletes and hormones and blood doping... oh good! She stopped. We're watching 'The Bionic Vet' now. It's pretty amazing! I'll be back later...

9:30am - ACK! What is up with Barnett's face?! She keeps wiping it... o_O
9:31am - Aww; chinchillas are adorabibble!
9:45am - Animals can get arthritis? Sasha - border collie - knee has disintegrated coz of arthritis. Who'da thunk?

HII!! =) <-- 'kay, Yasmin wanted to say hi

9:50am - This strikes me as odd: ALL of the surgical procedures have gone well. Do they actually show any operations that don't go through so well?
9:55am - Wow, my class are real wimps! Or just reeeally squeamish. Well, some of them are. What's wrong with seeing blood in surgical procedures or dissections?!
9:58am - And the lesson is over!
9:59am - Or not... Bloody Barnett... Bloody bells... -.-

10:00am - NOW the lesson is over
10:10am - I'm hungry...

You know what, I'll stop writing during school. There's too much random stuff going on. I know! This can be a 'Part 1', and then 'Part 2' shall be my plane ramblings. And the airport. Mustn't forget the airport...

Right, so this is the last you'll hear from me in a little while. I'll miss you all when I'm away and I'll be back in about 2 weeks.

BYE! I leave you with this completely amazing picture:

Less than two weeks...

As most of you will know, I am going on holiday to Kenya in less than two weeks. It's for a wedding and I have asked some people if they'd be interested in seeing a blog about said wedding. Now, I put it to you (that is, if you're bothered to comment) to see if you would like to see a 'Blogging an Indian Beach Wedding'. It'd be in diary format and not actually on the days that I'm blogging as internet is quite scarce in Kenya so I doubt you'd hear from me in the time I'm there.
So, yeah, basically I'd be writing about each day if there are events going on then posting them in a staggered form because apparently some people don't like reading huge blocks of writing.

That's all for now, m'ducks. Until the next time, bye and I leave you with this thought from the genius Albert Einstein:

FREEEDOM!

It's over... it's all over! There are no more exams! We. Are. Officially. FREEE!!!

That is all... Now go throw pasta at wood.

Physics exaaaam

I have a Physics exam today... -.-

In other news, lots of sugar (ie. Werther's Originals) help so much with dealing with nerves. My friend now has a blog (British Ninja Girl or Gem...) and wants me to tell y'all that I love her.

And before I forget, my other friend throws pasta at wood. She says that it, apparently, helps to determine whether the pasta is cooked. I say she's mental. But it provided some laughs... Can someone else shed a bit of light on the matter? Yup, this is giving you free rein to throw pasta at wood, in the form of cupboards, to your heart's content.

So, go, my minions! Run free! Throw cooked pasta!

Adi, you're to blame for this. No matter how much fun this is...

Well, since I got tagged by my oh so darling cousin, Adi , I suppose I may as well get this over and done with:

1. When I was very young and in Nakuru, I was pounced on by an eeevil dog who was recently put down after being diagnosed as rabid
2. Never have I ever had a pet. Unfortunately, rocks don't count
3. My travels of the globe began at the ripe old age of six weeks
4. After being obsessed with the Redwall series, I was informed that for a period of time after, I talked in my sleep in the different accents written in the books
5. When on a train (and very young, for the record), I lined up pens and the like and tell them "Don't fall down" in rapid Hindi. Needless to say, they didn't heed my commands...
6. My brain is not technically my own now, as it will be donated to a research company after my death
7. I was nearly detained at an airport for a bit because of a rock that looked 'suspiciously' like a bomb...

I have no clue whatsoever of the rules, so just read and guess away, minions! Guess, I say! Guess! Oh, and voila:

♫La la la la, Elmo's world...♪

I'm slightly out of it today... Exams are taking their toll. I think that going crazy is the only way that we can cope with these things. So yeah, tomorrow is one of the biggy exams (first one yet.... PANIC!) and I have the morning off to revise. And that will be my second last exam of this week. :D Bear in mind, SECOND last. I still have a Spanish oral to do. -.- DAMN YOU, EXAMS! And then two more of the biggies (mind, gutter, out, peeplings)
Now, talking to y'all is cutting into my revision time sooooo, until next time, my friends!
Gooooood byyyyyeee! And since Blogger is being dumb, I shall flaunt this at them. FEAST YOUR EYES!

Yes, Batman is an awesomesauce detective. Don'tcha just love demotivationals?
All right... anyone got anything to say? No? Well, I'm going. Leave it in the comments. Bye bye! The next time I post, I shall be stark raving bonkers. What a lovely prospect to look forward to...

P.S. Actually, I have a change to make to that last bit: The next time I post, I shall be stark raving bonkers and the proud owner of that comic. YAY!
Okay, I think I'm done. Must stop procrastinating now!

Templates (and story)

Hmmm.... I quite like these templates but it's hard to choose just one! The one I have right now is all summery and light but I don't know...
Okay, that's all for now. Ta ta peeplings!

Ohwait! Molly's story. Whatcha all think? Leave comments and stuff please! I would have put it to the OT but last night it was a bit... dead. So, I shall wait until tonight.

All right, remember people, comments! Comments and suggestions. Much appreciated. Buh bye!

P.S. I've heard that people want Molly's story to be posted in small-ish chunks rather than in a massive block. I can do that, but it'll take time. In about a week, I have a holiday and I can sort it out then. Okay? Good. We're agreed.

Thursday, 20 May 2010

Oh oh oh! Lookit the cat!

Before I forget, we had tennis at school today. Basically, there's this fluffy grey cat that wanders around over there and he is adorable! And seeing as it's summer, I guess the owners decided to shave him and voila! We have a little grey lion lookalike:

And here's his face:

Awww, lookit the cute widdle kitty! He is honestly, the most friendly and gorgeous cat I know!

Can it be... the sun?! (and Quote of the Day-20th May)

For the first time in... um... a very long time, it has been sunny and warm and actually like a summer's day in the UK! That's all for now. Thanks for reading! Posts will be short and sweet from here on out. Oh yeah, and coz I forgot yesterday (sorry 'bout that!), here's your quote thing:

Me:(about 'Baby'): It's not Ludacris in the middle, it's Buttber when he forgot to take his hormone tablets.

Oh, and I decided I don't like the polls. They don't look right.

Until next time, I bid thee adieu. Ponder this, if you dare:

Happy birthdays, new blog posts (le gasp!) and the bane of students everywhere (Part 2)

Now... where was I with the last bit? Oh yeah! New daily thing... Well, make the most of these frequent posts for the remaining week coz I've got about two weeks of exams coming up and a week holiday separating them. Here's how it goes: one week of exams, one week half term holiday thing, 1 more week of exams. And as if it couldn't get much worse, I have my three Science GCSE modules coming up. Basically (for you Yanks who don't know), GCSEs are the exams that people my age and the year above me take. It's mainly the year above but we have these three modules to reccomend whether we do triple Sciences (Bio, Chem, Phys) or double (Bio, Chem). They're just a rough guide of sorts mainly for teachers and parents but we students do have a choice as to what we want to do.

So, I have to get back to revision. Hopefully now you know why I won't be around on here for the next few weeks. Until then, feast your eyes on this (I have waaay too many of these kinds of thing so I won't be running out for a while):

I shall be back after Hell has thawed out...

I should be revising, but I'm not

Like the title says, I really should be revising for a Chemistry mock that I've got tomorrow. But I'm not. This is how devoted I now am to you lot. Be grateful as you now have not one, but two blog posts in a day. Granted, one was just a small thing but still! Be grateful, dammit! And, yes I can 'swear' on here. It's my blog so I can do what I want. *sticks tongue out*

Okay, childishness aside, I gotta question. Do you guys know how to put a picture in here that can move? Basically, the moving icon things. Coz I tried it as just a picture and that didn't work and then as a movie and that failed as well. Would it work if it was from a URL?

Now, I need to revise and get back to the OT, so I shall leave you now, my dear ducklings. Ta ra!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Seize the fish...

Quote of the Day - 18th May 2010

Yay! First one of this 'segment'!
So, what better way to start this off than with Princess Bride?

Vicar: Mawwaige. Mawwaige is wot bwings us togeva today. Mawwaige, that bwessed awangment, that dweam wifin a dweam... And wuv, tru wuv, will fowow you foweva... So tweasure your wuv...
Prince Humperdinck: Skip to the end
Vicar: Have you the wing?

'Kay, so that's it really. There shall be more forthcoming tomorrow!

Until then:

EDIT - So, Adi says that the '____' of the Day wasn't his but whatever. That's where I saw it, so I'm using it and I don't care who came up with it. :P

Happy birthdays, new blog posts (le gasp!) and the bane of students everywhere (Part 1)

Right, so the day before yesterday was Dug's birthday. HAPPY BELATED (again) BIRTHDAY, MY NOT SO INNOCENT FRIEND (thanks to Nini and in some respects, moi)!

As you all know, this is my first blog update in a looong time. I've been bugged by both Adi and Nini to update so I am and can you guys now stop nagging me!? Thank you! Speaking of Adi and Nini, I think I may steal a small feature of theirs and adapt it. You know how Adi does a lyric of the day and Nini does a quote at the bottom of her blogs? Well, those two shall now be stolen and incorporated into my blog. Then you guys can't moan at me for not updating. Be warned, there shall be a lot of Monty Python and Princess Bride quotes. Just saying...

Well, I shall continue this later as I have to go now. This is part one of my update saga and part two shall follow shortly. Watch this space... No, really! Watch it!

I leave you with this for now:

Weddings, parties and school

Why, hello to you bored travellers of teh interwebz. Welcome to insanity where I shall be your guide for the remainder of your journey.
So, in the next few days I have a party, a wedding and return to school. Should be interesting...
There is a party for my six year old cousin today so, say hello to insanity, everyone! Then the wedding on Monday (yes, I do not have to return to school on Monday. Mwahahahahaha! Mine is an evil laugh) so it's going to be a day of really very itchy Indian outfits. But they look alright so I might (note MIGHT) be able to post a few pictures on here; your first look at my hideous face! Maybe...
And sadly, as the holiday draws to a close, school begins once more leading to the accursed bane of students everywhere, that more commonly known as exams.

This coming weekend, there is a Duke of Edinburgh expedition! I'm so excited as it is pretty much freedom. Also, my friend's birthday falls (happily) on the second day of the expedition so we're having a glow stick party. In the wilderness... well, not quite but it's the thought that counts!

So, expect to hear more from me as my insanity levels rise with the impending school work. Expect to also hear more random rants as my Twilight intolerance rises as well due to the bubble-heads at the asyl-er, school.

This is Funsize signing over and out.

Friday, 16 April 2010

I caved...

Yes, Funsize now has a blog. I don't have much more to say yet so I shall leave you all to think about this:
